The story of Miley Cyrus' terrible, horrible, no good, very bad hair day continues…
Following a series of bizarre and unfortunate style choices, the 19-year-old former Disney star has trimmed off even more of her newly bleached and shaved down haircut.
Photos show Miley’s shortened do as she patroled the streets of New York City on Monday, dressed in a black sweater, navy mini skirt and black tights.
While searching through photos of the spotting, several office looki-loos wandered over to gawk at my computer screen as I scrolled, waging their complaints and verbal flinches.
“She looks super, super butch now,” one onlooker proclaimed in terror.
This, I can only assume, is a progression from the simply “super butch” Miley became when she first shaved down her lush locks in August.
At that time, Miley responded to haters, tweeting: “if you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all. my hair is attached to my head no one else's and it's going bye bye.”
Unfortunately, it’s hard not to talk about “the Miley” haircut (and therefore impossible to say anything nice), which has become an Internet sensation since its debut. Even fellow celebs like Ellen DeGeneres and Lena Dunham have light-heartedly mocked the hairstyle.
Whether her motivation is desperation at fixing a botched haircut to begin with or some attempt at fulfilling an unspoken fetish of her fiancé Liam Hemsworth's, Miley’s new look seems to be here to stay. And, with her constantly evolving look as proof, it will surely change momentarily if it hasn’t already done so since I’ve started writing this...
In other news, Liam still looks normal…
